Andrew Scotland

Andrew and his wife have been blessed with four beautiful children, three boys and one girl. They love spending time with their family either on outings with the dog whenever the weather is favourable or watching a movie at home. They were married in August 2000 and have since been involved in church ministry in one form or another whether it be leading a house group, youth groups, teaching or pastoral care.

Initially, married life was experienced in Dunstable where the couple volunteered and took responsibility for leading a local church’s youth group for two years before moving to Rugby in 2002.

Church for this couple is all about people sharing life together and ministry, family focused, fun, simple yet informed by Scripture, seeking to make Jesus King in every area of life.

Andrew felt the call of God to ministry when he was 19 years of age as a prodigal teen looking to return back to the fold. It took 14 years of life preparation before this call was realised in full-time ministry here at New Life. Before that time, at the age of 28, he left full-time employment and trained part time for four years at the Bible College of Wales in Swansea. Both Andrew and his wife played an active role in New Life from leading house groups to youth work and children’s ministry.

All this training and life experience pale in the light of the teaching they have gained from the person of the Spirit and those he has used in their life in educating them. The couple feels blessed to be a second generation ministry alongside Andrew’s parents Alan and Betty and in also belonging to a wider church network under the banner of Global Horizons.

They have been blessed to teach in many different nations and to have partnered in training with TBN UK and UCB. Andrew has a passion for teaching the Scripture and has been used in particular in the teaching of the Old Testament.
