Sunday children’s work at New Life Church Rugby provides an opportunity for children up to school year 6 to leave the main meeting at around 11am for their own learning. The children gather in The Workshop and are divided into two groups:
EDGE – Sunday morning children’s work for kids in school year’s 3 to 6.
EPIC – Sunday morning children’s work for kids in school reception to year 2
EXPLORERS – Creche work for Little Explorers (aged 0-2) and Big Explorers (aged 2-4)
We teach the children about God and Christianity using the Bible and look to creatively deliver this information through stories, videos, crafts, games, songs and memory verses. The children have an opportunity to learn, have fun and make new friends.
During the session the children will be offered a drink and a snack. If there are any allergy issues we would be grateful if parents and carers highlight this to volunteers and we will do our best to provide a suitable alternative snack. We also understand you may wish to provide your own.
Throughout the year we run additional activities for the children and these are advertised in the church notice, so please look out for upcoming events such as the Light Party , Christmas Art event , Christmas party and Nativity play.
The children are registered on our secure system ‘ChurchSuite‘ each week using basic information provided by the parents or carers. It is helpful if parents or carers can bring the children to their groups each week and collect them promptly at the end of the service. We have a team of children’s workers who are DBS checked and serve on rota basis in children’s work. If you are interested in volunteering as a children’s worker there is a recruitment process please see Hannah Scotland for more information.
